Waiting Room Information

Improving The Patient Experience

We believe that it is vitally important that a patient information service should be installed to the highest professional standards both in terms of the equipment and the quality and look of the presentation media.

The concept of providing a second focal point within the waiting room, where patients can access information for themselves, will only be useful if the patients can have complete confidence in what is on offer.

Equally there needs to be resources available to maintain the equipment and, more importantly, to ensure that the content on display is kept fresh and lively.

How It Works

How it Works

The openspacetv concept relies on our ability to use the sponsorship opportunities which it offers to fund the installation and maintenance of the system.

To this end we will seek to maximise the revenue which it can generate. At the same time, however, we are very sensitive to the issues which might arise when introducing a commercially funded service within a public health care environment.

The ultimate decision to accept sponsorship from a particular organisation rests with the practice and we will always respect your right to refuse an individual sponsor for your screen.

The Technology

The Technology

Every installation comes with a 42 inch wall-mounted plasma screen as standard.

The contents displayed on the screen consist of a combination of practice-specific information, general health advice and sponsorship messages.

The plasma screen is connected to the Internet via its own broadband connection and the content is delivered over the web from our dedicated server.

The practice has direct access to the content on the practice specific side of the screen via a special web site interface.
